The Little Red Wagon was inspired by a prop outside the Paul Creative Arts Center at the University of New Hampshire. The prop always stuck out to me whenever I would pass it and it always gave me that character of youthfulness and joy.

After some research I learned that the Little Red Wagon is a children’s theatre summer touring troupe that performs at various venues throughout New England.

In writing this work, I focused on that child-like character and the feeling of being young and joyful.
